Where I Stand on Social Justice, Human Rights, and Issues that Impact Our Planet
As a business owner and voice within the online community, it is my commitment to make it clear to you where I stand and most importantly what the mission of this business stands FOR.
I stand in solidarity and for racial justice for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and am committed to being an inclusive, anti-racist organization.
I stand for LGBTQ+ Equality.
I stand for environmental justice.
We need to demand justice by prosecuting the killers of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Atatianna Jefferson, Freddie Gray, Aura Rosser, Eric Garner, Stephon Clark, Botham Jean, Philando Castille, Alton Sterling, Tamir Rice, Janisha Fonville, Patrick Warren, and countless others.
I value neurodiversity & recognize the differences in how we all learn, communicate, and function as humans.
I value science, peer-reviewed research, critical thinking, and personal discernment, and do not believe any individual (myself included) should ever be looked at as the ultimate source or end-goal for any niche of information. We must humbly acknowledge that humans are flawed and therefore be aware that everyone has room for growth, change, and constructive criticism with their values and ethics.
I do not support Donald Trump, Qanon, spiritual bypassing, or any conspiracy theories that have led to the dangerous spread of misinformation and the riots that occurred at the United States Capitol.
I continue to do sustainable work to address my own whiteness, cognitive dissonance, internal biases, other problematic views, mindsets, and unknown complicit biases from both a place of awareness and action. Including personally, professionally, publically, and internally. I do not consider or view myself as "better" than others who are on this journey. I am where I am and I continue to move forward, encouraging others to do the same.
